Atacama Salt Deposit
On our way to the Atacama Salt Deposit we will visit the Liparita stone quarry and Valle de Jerez [ Sherry Valley ]. The tour ends with a visit to Chaxa Lagoon to watch flamingos and wait for the sunset.
Geysers and villages
Visit to the Caspana Village ( Old Village , Church). Afterwards visit to Pukara [Fortification of Inca origin] de Lasana, the petroglyphs of the Loa River Valley , the Inca Coya Lagoon and Chiu-Chiu (Church
Valley of the Moon
Through the road that links San Pedro with the city of Calama. A stopover to admire the Salt Mountains . Afterwards, a visit to the Valley of Death (a 20-30 minutes walk). During our stay in the Valley of the Moon, a visit to the salt statue "Las Tres Marías" [Three Marys], the Salt Mine, the Mirador, the Salt Caves and we shall wait for the sunset at the great sand dune situated in the central crater.
Archaeological tour
Visit to Pukara of Quitor, Salt Mountains . Then to the Tulor ruins which date back more than 3.000 years. Return to San Pedro through the Sequitor Ayllu [oasis].
Altiplano Lagoons and Salt Deposits
Visit to the villages of Toconao and Socaire, Atacama Salt Deposit, Miscanti and Miñiques Lagoons (at 4.150 metres above sea level). A visit will also be made to the salt deposits of Capur and Talar as well as to Tuyajto Lagoon to see flamingos.
The Tatio Geysers
Arruval at the Tatio Geysers (4.320 metres above sea level). Walk through the geothermal site (two hours at the geysers). On the way back to San Pedro, we shall visit the settlement of Machuca, a lovely place where the typical flora and fauna of this region can be admired.
