Ita i Cora, Colón

Home / Tours / Argentina

The city of Colón is outstandingly beautiful, specially for people who want to get in touch with Mother Nature. At Itaicorá , they have been "breaking ground" in this type of tourism, for the last twelve years. It was created in 1993 by two families that decided back then, to exchange a jungle of cement, tarmacadam and deafening noises, for a jungle formed by trees, birds and sounds of Nature. Led by the dynamic and unforgettable Charlie Adamson, they never looked back and they would love to share their wonderful environment with you.

Colón is a perfect link, a marvellous stopover, on the tourist trails bound for Iberá lagoons and eventually Iguazú falls, for those that crave virgin grounds. These alluring islands are an ideal introduction to the tropical rain forest that can only be found on these isles and on low river banks. This range, teeming with wildlife, has over two hundred different species of birds that can be seen and heard. Many mammals stalk, swim and prowl the area but with a somewhat lower profile. It is so important to show and consequently protect, this privileged part of our planet

The area is also famous for its petrified trees (also their fruits) dating back to the age of dinosaurs. Admire the impressive collection of agates, jaspers, and quartz crystals, learning how to tell these stones apart and maybe even go stone-hunting yourself …an awesome experience! Do come and see for yourself, you'll love it!
